In 1978, we were first introduced to the magical, awe-inspiring world of The Snowman. Created by the pioneering and visionary creative talent, Raymond Briggs, The Snowman takes us on a wondrous journey through a winter’s night where The Snowman comes to life and an unforgettable adventure begins.

Raymond Briggs’ favourite classic is a true piece of Christmas magic – narrated entirely through pictures, it captures the wonder and innocence of childhood and is now recognised throughout the world.

Over the past 40 years, aided by the mesmerising 1982 Oscar nominated animation and the most recent addition to the family The Snowdog, The Snowman has firmly become part of the Christmas fabric. This dreamlike narrative tale still perfectly captures the imagination and wonder of childhood and continues to be enjoyed and embraced across generations, old and new.

This was my first Christmas in England, my first Christmas away from "home". I'm from Norway, so Christmas is pretty special to me. It's a light in the dark. This year marks my second Christmas at home, in England.
