About this project

Topps and Andy Robertson unveiled a giant mosaic of the Scotland Captain made from thousands of official UEFA 2024™ Match Attax trading cards.

Created by artist Helen Marshall of the People’s Picture, the 12m² giant mosaic is comprised from more than 5,000 trading cards, and features 316 different football stars from the UEFA EURO 2024™ Match Attax collection. Gigapixels are huge photographic images. They can be viewed on-screen in an interactive format, or as very large format prints with an incredible amount of detail.

Scottish Football Museum

The Artwork is based permanently within Hampden Park at the Scottish Football Museum. There are thousands of objects on display, tracing the history of football in Scotland. Revealed by Andy Robertson himself inside the iconic Hampden Park stadium, the mosaic has been donated by Topps to the Scottish Football Museum where it is now on display for visitors.

Andy Robertson and young people from his AR26 charity were the first to see the mosaic at the Scottish Football Museum in Hampden Park where it remain on display to visitors. Young people from Robertson’s charity, AR26, were invited to attend the unveiling and kick-started their very own UEFA EURO 2024™ Match Attax collections by removing individual physical cards from the mosaic. The Topps UEFA Euro 2024 Match Attax collection contains stars from each of the tournament’s competing nations and features subsets that fans know and love. These include signature-style legends cards, genuine autograph and relic cards, rare golden treasure cards, Euro Chrome Shields and Energy cards and much more.

Everyone knows that Andy is a true legend of Scottish football, so it’s a real honour to display this beautiful mosaic at the Scottish Football Museum. Trading cards are also a big part of football fandom, so the mosaic is a natural addition to our collection. Thanks to Topps for donating it to the museum and we invite fans to come and visit it in person!

I am delighted to have partnered with Topps to take on the challenge of creating this Andy Robertson mosaic. From first seeing a handful of individual UEFA EURO 2024™Match Attax cards, through to unveiling the final piece which is made up from more than 5,000 of them, I’ve loved this journey of combining football with art. I hope football fans, card collectors and art lovers alike will enjoy the mosaic.”
