Richard Stimpson at 18 years of age and at 75 ( before and after ) who joined the Royal Navy and served some 9 years visiting 36 countries from the Baltic to India in active service in Aden and the Middle East, East Coast of Africa down to the Zambize River. Also he volunteered for the submarine service.
