Hines and ‘Perspective – Art in Architecture’ commissioned the People’s Picture to create a new site-specific artwork for their new London Headquarters, Grainhouse located in Covent Garden.

This artwork is made up of over 2,500 images that tell the collective history of Hines and Grainhouse, with a special focus on themes of people, places and sustainability. Images were meticulously selected by the artist from the Hines archive comprising over 50,000 images. The final artwork is composed of over 2,500 individual images one from every Hines project highlighting staff and people in each window.

Hines is a global real estate investment, development and property manager. The firm was founded by Gerald D. Hines in 1957 and now operates in 30 countries. Hines manages a portfolio of high-performing assets across residential, logistics, retail, office, and mixed-use strategies.
Founded in 2005, ‘Perspective’ is an art consultancy specialising in the curation of contemporary art collections in a variety of corporate, healthcare, hotel, mixed-use, residential and public spaces. Our focus is to provide engaging environments through artistic interventions and creative collaborations. Projects range from the acquisition of one unique piece or commission to the development and management of an entire collection. A specific strategy and curatorial programme is developed for each client based on their needs and areas of interest.
