My uncle Raymond Taylor was in the Royal Navy protecting the Suez Canal at the very same time his brother, my uncle Brian Taylor was also in Egypt protecting the Suez Canal (Oct/Nov 1956)for the British Army. My uncle Raymond had a word with the captain of the ship and uncle Brian (British Army) was invited for tea. He was piped on aboard and both my uncles were very proud to protect this extremely important waterway.
